Zurmang Gharwang Rinpoche

H.E. Zurmang Gharwang Rinpoche teaches Tibetan Buddhist meditation and philosophy worldwide. Rinpoche was born a prince of the royal court in Sikkim and was recognized by H.H. the XVI. Karmapa as the twelfth incarnation of the Gharwang Tulkus. Rinpoche is the highest lineage holder of the Zurmang Kagyu lineage within the Karma Kagyu tradition. He continues the activity of the unbroken lineage of Gharwang Tulkus, which can be traced back to the Tibetan Siddha Trung Mase, who lived in the 14th century and is considered an emanation of the Indian Mahasiddha Tilopa. He was also the founder of the Zurmang Monastery and the Zurmang Kagyu tradition.
